India’s Tour of Australia started with the three-match T20I series, being first T20 held at The Gabba, Brisbane which was won by Australia by 4 runs while the second T20 scheduled on 23 November at Melbourne Cricket Ground was called off due to rain.

During the first T20I Australia had to prematurely end their innings at 158/4 off 17 overs due to heavy showers that prevented the last three overs from being played. The revised D/L target for Virat Kohli’s Men was then raised to 174 in 17 overs.

Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin who is not a part of the squad for the tour against Australia was found involved in some Twitter altercation with fans. Ashwin tweeted on the boundary sizes of the grounds Down Under during the first T20 match between IND vs AUS. Ashwin tweeted, “The boundary sizes in Australia Phew – is a delight for the bowlers,”.

One of his fans suggested that Ashwin would be getting hit for sixes if he was in the Indian T20I squad for the tour against Australia. The 31-year-old Ravichandran Ashwin replied to his fan with his stats from the 2016 tour. He commented, “2 for 26, 1 for 27 and 1 for 37 in the 3-0 win last series. Thanks buddy,”.

Then another fan asked Ashwin, “How many wickets in test vs Australia in Australia buddy?”. To which, Ashwin replied: “I am the one whose got the records, please go and take a look. I can’t Google you and find you.”

Ashwin also tweeted, “Such a closely fought game, too bad it didn’t go our way. This is going to be a cracking series,”.

Moreover, the third T20 is scheduled on 25 November at Sydney Cricket Ground. Following the third T20I, the tour will include four-match Test series and it will end with three-match One Day International series.
